Who We Are
Love and Hope Organization is a grassroots charity based in Dandora Phase 1, near the Dandora dumping site in Nairobi, Kenya. We exist to serve, support, and uplift some of the most vulnerable people in our community — children, the elderly, young girls, and teen mothers — by restoring hope and dignity where it has been lost. Our community faces many social and economic challenges, including poverty, hunger, lack of education, and abandonment. Every day, we encounter children living in the dumpsite, elderly people struggling without food or medicine, and teenage girls who have been left alone to care for their babies after being abandoned by their partners.
What We Do
Feeding Programs: Providing nutritious meals for vulnerable children and elderly residents. Elderly Support: Offering food packages and essential medicine to neglected seniors. Sanitary and Hygiene Support: Supplying sanitary pads and pampers to young girls to help them stay healthy and confident. Teen Mother Support: We care for teenage mothers who have dropped out of school and are struggling to raise their babies. Many have been abandoned and are left with no support. We offer counseling, basic necessities, and a listening ear. Street Child Education: Helping street-involved children reintegrate into school and society.
Our Future Vision
We are working toward long-term solutions that bring lasting change: A Children’s Home: A safe and loving space for abandoned and neglected children living in and around the Dandora dumpsite. A Community School: A learning center where children from low-income families can access quality education, life skills, and a better future. At Love and Hope Organization, we believe that love heals, and hope restores. Through compassion and action, we are building a future where no one is forgotten and everyone has a chance to thrive.
